black paper

I feel awfully happy during my coming-back-to-deviantart time. I found many warm-hearted new people, new spirit, new lessons, new experiences! So glad being there again :) The most teary part was when I found a 64 y.o. woman encouraged younger people there in DA.

And this is what she had said in her journal:

"I have been learning to draw and paint from books. It's been about 3 years but I'm slowly making progress. I'm a senior citizen... sooooo I'm a little slower than average. I thought I'd give it a try since I've got a lot of time. So, I'm really enjoying myself. If I'd known it was so much fun I would have done it sooner."

Yeah, I'm so much younger than her, so I should be more enthusiastic in creating artworks :')

Last Saturday, I went to a bookstore and bought many colored papers. I'm planning to start drawing on those papers. These are the results for working on black paper

I still confuse in choosing colors for black paper because some colors will virtually vanish into the background and others will appear to have undertones T_T It's such a homework for me to learn harder. After struggling all day long with black paper, I feel desperately wanting to eat blackpeppersteak :D
